ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Doug Forbes accepted Jesus as his personal Savior as a teen, and has been in ministry in New England for almost 50 years. He holds Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Religious Education, and serves our youth at Central Congo with weekly children’s messages that inspire people of all ages. Each Sunday you’ll find him distributing encouraging Bible passages, fun stickers, bookmarks and other items to impress God’s word on young hearts. He also coordinates a church youth ski team in the winter months.

Previously Pastor Doug served as an education consultant for Gospel Light Publishers and has authored numerous columns and articles for Lifeway Publications, USA Today, and many other publications. For 35 years he was a Sector Director/Local Coordinator for the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.

For fun he is a certified Professional Ski Instructor at the Blue Hills Ski Area. He enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife, Kathy; his three daughters; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
