OUR CORE VALUES

1.  Evangelism: We believe in facilitating & fostering an environment where we can introduce our friends & community to Christ.

2.  Nurture: We believe that Christ’s followers should continually grow & strive for godly integrity.

3.  Prayer: We believe that personal & group prayer is powerful and essential for understanding.

4.  Equipping: We believe that it is vital to train leaders in order to fulfill the great commission.

5.  Compassion: We believe that fulfilling Christ’s call to acts of compassion and mercy is necessary to our spiritual vitality.

6. Worship: We believe that glorifying God in all we do is the highest calling for Christ’s followers.

Our Beliefs: The objects of the Society are:

(a) To provide for the worship of God, preach and teach the Word of God, to win people to the Lord Jesus Christ, to administer the ordinances of the New Testament, to seek spiritual improvement of its members, to minister to its own community, and to extend the kingdom of Christ in all the earth.

(b) Believing the teachings and practices of the New Testament, we pledge to adhere to the following distinctive principles:

1. The Bible, the standard of faith and practice;  2. The Lordship of Jesus Christ;  3. Regenerated membership;  4. Believer’s baptism by immersion;  5. Progressive sanctification;  6. Soul liberty;  7. Congregational governments.

(c) To believe that the Bible is God’s Word, without error in its original autographs, that it was written by men divinely and uniquely inspired, that it is absolutely trustworthy and has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

(d) To believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

(e) To believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary sinless in His life making atonement for the sin of the world by His death on the cross. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His high priestly intercession for His people and His personal visible return to the world according to His promise.

(f) To believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from God to convince the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and comfort those who believe in Jesus Christ.

(g) We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal punishment.

(h) To believe in the Church – a living, spiritual body of which Jesus Christ is the Head and of which all regenerated people are members.  We believe that a visible Church is a company of  believers in Jesus Christ, buried with Him in Baptism and associated for worship, work and fellowship.  We believe that to these visible Churches were committed, for observance, “Till He Come,” the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper; and that God has laid upon these Churches the task of persuading a lost world to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and to enthrone Him as Lord and Master.  We believe that human betterment and social improvements are inevitable products of the Gospel.

(i) To believe that each Church is independent and autonomous, and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority; that, therefore, Church and state must be kept separate as having different functions, each fulfilling its duties free from the dictation or patronage of the other.

(j) Having been led as we believe by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, we do now, in the presence of God, angels, and this assembly most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ.  We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love.

(k) To strive for the advancement of this Church in knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines; to give it a sacred pre-eminence over all institutions of human origin; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expense of the Church, the relief of the poor and the spread of the gospel through all nations.  We also engage to maintain family and secret devotion; to religiously educate our children; to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, and exemplary in our deportment; to avoid all tattling, backbiting and excessive anger; and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior.

(l) To watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the rules of our Savior, to secure it without delay.
