DIRECTOR OF STUDENT MINISTRIES

Evan received his bachelor’s degree in 2011, from Messiah College, with a degree in Communication and Public Relations. At Messiah, Evan served as Campaign Manager for a local State Representative, Senior Resident Assistant for two upper class dorms, Team Leader for the Sound and Lighting Technical Crew, and Social Media and Web Manager for a student media collaboration. With all of these experiences, Evan aims to use his God-given talents and abilities to reach others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

At Central Congregational Church, Evan serves as Director of Student Ministries, overseeing Sunday School, Youth Group, and Special Events for students grade seven through twelve. One of five siblings, Evan was born to a Christian family in Middleboro, MA. His father has faithfully served as Youth Pastor for Cornerstone Community Church (formerly Mullein Hill Baptist Church). He became a Christian as a young child through the mentoring and discipleship of his parents and was baptized at Mullein Hill Baptist Church.

One of Evan’s biggest passions for ministry includes missions, service, and partnering with the local community. Since age thirteen Evan participated in six mission trips to South America and led two morning training sessions in Florida. Each of these trips brought 300-800 teen missionaries to perform an evangelical mime presentation for schools, churches, neighborhoods, and community centers.  Additionally, Evan’s work in the area of partnering with local communities led him to complete two community mapping reports to help create ties between the church and the community.

Evan is the proud husband of Kathryn Pittsley and the father of two. Evan and Kathryn were the first wedding held at Central Congregational Church following the 2009 fire and are proud to call this church their home. Evan, Kathryn, and Liam reside in Middleboro and can often be found playing tennis, going for walks, or visiting all of the great things that Middleboro and Lakeville have to offer. Evan also is an office manager at a company in Freetown.
